2010: Try It Again

A little more than a week into a new year has me pondering.  This is the time of year for change.  People make resolutions to lose weight, save money, be kinder, stop bad habits or create good ones.  A new year, a new you.

However, for many, it will be short-lived.  By the end of the month, many will have given up and revert to their old ways.  So what is the point in trying in the first place?

Most of us have aspirations of being better in some way.   With a new year, it only seems fitting to give change a try.  Yet change can be difficult.  Isn’t it easier for us to stay in our same ruts, doing the same things?  We get comfortable with what we know.

Perhaps the answer is simply moving out of our comfort zones.  Seems simple enough anyway.  For change to happen, we have to make things happen.  Maybe it begins with eating less, taking a walk, or a reading a good book.  One change I am working towards is my blog.  I have decided to move away from Doin’ Fine…

….I’m thinking I want to have one on-going blog for years to come…so this  new year brings a new blog.  Please check me out at sherbear518.wordpress.com.
